Deep sea mining, profit at the bottom of the sea: new study from BankWijzer

Deep-sea mining has major impacts on the environment, the climate, the people of the Pacific islands and the Global South. This is why Belgian Fair Finance member FairFin is taking a close look at the financial flows to DEME Group. This Belgian company, through its subsidiary Global Sea Mineral Resources (DEME-GSR), is currently taking its first steps into deep-sea mining.
